Welcome to Library Saathi. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our library management software and services. By downloading, installing, or using Library Saathi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Library Saathi, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

"We", "Us", "Our" refers to Library Saathi and its developers.

"You", "Your" refers to the individual or entity who purchases, downloads, installs, or uses Library Saathi software.

"Software" refers to Library Saathi library management software, including all its features, updates, and documentation.

"License" refers to the license agreement under which you purchased or obtained Library Saathi.

2. License & Use Rights

License Grant: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Library Saathi for managing your library operations.

Permitted Use: You may:

• Install and use Library Saathi on your computer system(s) as specified in your license
• Use the software to manage your library operations, members, inventory, and related activities
• Create backups of your data as needed
• Receive updates and support as per your license terms

License Restrictions: Your license is typically valid for:

• Single library installation (unless you have purchased a multi-library license)
• The duration specified in your license agreement (e.g., 1 year, 3 years, 5 years)
• Use by the licensed library or organization only

If you need Library Saathi for multiple libraries or locations, you must purchase additional licenses as required.

3. Data Responsibility

Local Data Storage: Library Saathi uses local database storage. All your data is stored on your computer system.

Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for:

• Backing up your data regularly
• Securing your system and database
• Protecting access to your system and software
• Maintaining the integrity and security of your data
• Complying with applicable data protection laws

Data Loss: We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to your data. It is your responsibility to maintain regular backups and implement appropriate security measures.

Data Export: You can export your data at any time. We recommend regular exports as part of your backup strategy.

4. Restrictions

You agree that you will not:

• Resell, redistribute, sublicense, share, or make the software (or any source files) publicly available, except as permitted by your license agreement.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the software.
• Remove, obscure, or alter copyright notices, license headers, or proprietary markings.
• Use the software for unlawful, harmful, or illegal purposes, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Modify the software in a way that creates a derivative work for commercial distribution.
• Use the software to compete with Library Saathi or create a similar product.
• Share your license key or allow unauthorized users to access the software.

5. Support Policy

Support is provided in accordance with your license agreement and for the support period associated with your purchase.

What's included:

• Answering questions about software features and functionality.
• Bug fixes and reported issue investigation (if the issue is reproducible with the original software).
• Software updates to maintain compatibility and add new features.
• Technical assistance with software installation and configuration.
• Documentation and video tutorials.

What's not included:

• Custom development or feature requests beyond the standard software.
• Support for third-party integrations, plugins, or external services.
• Issues arising from system modifications, unauthorized changes, or misuse.
• Data recovery or restoration services (though we may provide guidance).
• Training or consultation services (may be available separately).

6. Liability & Disclaimer

Software "As Is": Library Saathi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

No Warranty: We do not warrant that:

• The software will meet your specific requirements
• The software will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the software will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the software will be corrected

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the software license
• We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access
• We are not responsible for any business losses, lost profits, or lost data

System Requirements: Library Saathi requires:

• Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
• Minimum system requirements as specified in the documentation
• Internet connection for updates and optional features (software works offline for 15 days)

Third-Party Services: If you use optional features like WhatsApp or Email notifications, these services are subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.

7. Termination

License Termination: Your license to use Library Saathi will terminate if:

• You breach any of these Terms
• Your license period expires (unless renewed)
• You request termination

Upon termination, you must stop using the software and may need to uninstall it. Your data remains on your system and is your responsibility.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last updated" date
• Notifying you through the software (if significant changes are made)

Your continued use of Library Saathi after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
